SAKOR provided six engine durability cells and one noise, vibration, harshness (NVH) cell as part of Karl Schmidt Unisia’s project to automate its test facility in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The North American piston division of Kolbenschmidt Pierburg AG, Karl Schmidt Unisia builds pistons for passenger cars and light- to medium-duty commercial vehicle engines.

SAKOR designed the systems to accommodate a wide variety of engines and test procedures, many of which run unattended 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The DynoLAB PT Test Cell Supervisory System was primarily chosen due to its ease of use, since the customer changes test sequences daily.
